Later during the early evening we decided to go for a walk on the beach. We unloaded our stuff, put on our suits and jumped in the pool. The pool area was private, clean and tropical feeling. Has a full kitchen, nice size dressing and bathroom, a king size bed and a sliding glass door directly onto the patio and pool area. (Side note* if you have never been to Sanibel there is a toll to cross the causeway and it is $6.00, make sure you have some cash or Sunpass), We were booked in the Palm Cottage, we were thrilled with the quaint suite. We arrived mid afternoon, it was not hard to find. She also said that we were the only people booked for the weekend and said have a great time. She said that was fine that she would leave the door open and the key on the table. Karen the inn keeper called me that morning to see when I would arrive, I had to tell her I just did not know. We were going to go several times during the summer but our schedule was really crazy, so we ended up booking on the weekend after Labor day. I won this on a local vacation auction site, I have always wanted to go to Sanibel Island.
